My guest this week is the wonderful Rachele Wright, founder of Wright Outcomes. Rachele is a digital marketer who helps businesses develop and execute marketing strategies.
In our conversation, we talk about marketing strategies. There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to marketing your blog or business. But you can explore your options and find a marketing strategy that works for you.
Here are my takeaways:
-
- Maintain a consistent blog. Update it on a regular schedule.
- Your About page should be not just about you, but also about your site, specifically how it will help your readers.
- Identify the platform where your audience hangs out.
- Create content that is optimized for that platform.
- Repurpose your content for different social media platforms. If you post a longer video on Youtube, post clips of it on Facebook, or Instagram.
- Always include a call to action on your posts. State clearly what you want your audience to do.
- Understand Twitter is a platform people use to get their news and to have conversations. Your followers will not necessarily translate to buyers or blog readers.
- Take advantage of the synergy between maintaining a consistent site, email list, and Pinterest board.
- Have one place where your community can talk to you. That may be Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
- Be yourself. Do things on social media that are true to who you are.
- Done is better than perfect. Don’t stress over being perfect. Just get something done!
Have you discovered a marketing strategy that is working for you? I’d love to hear about it in the comments.
