Finding Peace Through Meditation: Featuring Bridgitte Jackson Buckley

From Crisis to Purpose: My 8 Takeaways from Bridgitte Jackson-Buckley

Bridgitte Jackson-Buckley

Bridgitte Jackson-Buckley experienced a horrific loss during the financial crisis in 2008. Not only did her family lose their income, but they also lost their home.

During this time of tragedy, Bridgitte discovered and began practicing meditation. She learned how to access her higher-self, tap into her intuition, and follow her inner-guidance. Although her life did not magically get better overnight, she was able to find peace and purpose in the midst of her financial turmoil.

Here are my eight biggest takeaways from our conversation:

Bridgitte Jackson-Buckley

  1. Meditation isn’t about perfection. Notice the thoughts bombarding your mind. There’s no need to believe or latch on to them. Allow them to come and go. As you continue practicing meditation, your thoughts will get quieter, and the silence will grow louder.
  2. You can’t heal areas of your life you’re not willing to examine. It’s essential to look at your pain with a clear open heart and mind.
  3. Once you accept the reality of your situation, seek guidance from your higher-self. Allow the direction to flow to you rather than trying to force it.
  4. Journal about your meditation experiences. How did it go? What did you learn about yourself? What, if any, messages did you receive?
  5. Listen to and trust your intuition. Although a hunch may not make sense to you, don’t dismiss it. Events may not unfold according to your timeline and expectations.
  6. Be the change you wish to experience in your life. If you want love, be love. If you want abundance, appreciate the abundance of life surrounding you.
  7. We are each other’s mirror. If someone’s characteristic or trait bothers you, be open to the possibility that you possess that same trait. Likewise, if someone exhibits a trait you admire, you also exhibit it.
  8. When we learn to be less judgmental of ourselves, we will naturally be less judgemental of others.

If you haven’t tried meditation, consider it. I can personally testify to its emotional and physical benefits. Start with two minutes per day. See where that takes you. A new year is dawning–now’s the time to begin a healthy habit.

I’d love to hear about your meditation journey. Leave a comment or email me!
