Living Peachfully: My 6 Takeaways from Kaitlyn Peach

Who doesn’t want peace of mind? Our minds are one of two significant batteries running our bodies (the other is our hearts). If our minds are not at peace, our bodies malfunction. We become ill and laden with diseases. A simple shift in mindset is a gamechanger.

Wellness coach and healer Kaitlyn Peach has made helping women achieve inner peace her life’s work. Here are my six big takeaways from our conversation:

  1. Nourish your body with healthy foods. Many of us eat emotionally–we don’t pause to consider what and why we’re eating. Our diets impact our bodies and moods. So next time you go grocery shopping, consider replenishing your refrigerator and pantry with healthy, whole foods.
  2. Physically move every day! Our bodies are designed to exercise. This doesn’t mean you have to run a mile or take a dance aerobics class. But it does mean that you need to partake in some physical activity daily, even if it’s just walking through the park (one of my favorites). Exercise helps to release stress and strengthen your body. It’s an easy, inexpensive way to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
  3. Tap into your inner-child. Remember all those fun things you loved to do as a kid: color, run, play, blow bubbles? Our inner child is always within us, and she desperately wants to play. Indulge her. Accessing your inner child helps boost creativity and alleviate stress.
  4. Access your dreams. Get clear on your vision and begin manifesting it now. Begin acting and feeling as though you have already accomplished your goals. Then, you will naturally take small, feasible actions to manifest your desires.
  5. Set clear boundaries. You teach people how to treat you. Hold them responsible for the energy they bring to you and your space. Be clear about when they can and cannot access you.
  6. Rewrite your story. We impose meaning on the events in our lives. Then we weave those meanings into a story about ourselves, which we stream through our heads day in and day out. Be aware of the meaning you impose on events and stories you tell yourself. If your narratives aren’t serving your higher self, change them.

How do you maintain inner peace?
