How many times have you been told to trust your intuition?
For some, trusting intuition is easier said than done, especially when it points you toward an unexpected path. As creatures of habit, we impose meaning on the events in our lives, and we cling to the idea they must all make sense.
So when we get a hunch that seems illogical, we dismiss it.
But creativity thrives on intuition. When you reject your instincts, you limit your creativity. When you limit your creativity, you shut the door to endless possibilities and opportunities.
Wellness coach and quantum energy healer Nicole Starbuck helps women embrace their intuition and nourish their creativity. Here are my eight takeaways from our conversation.
-
- There is always a gift in a crisis. No matter how dire and hopeless your situation or circumstance may seem, there is still a gift hidden in the despair.
- Listen to your body. When it’s in pain, that usually means you need to stop doing what you’re doing or start doing what you’re put on this earth to do.
- The most significant predictor of the future is the action you take now. Every choice you make is an investment in your future. Live in the present moment and be aware of the choices you’re making.
- Everything is energy. Decluttering or rearranging people and things in your life can open new energetic channels allowing clarity to flow to you.
- Replace the junk in your life with people and things that help you connect to the best version of yourself. Once you declutter your life of people and things that no longer serve you, it’s vital to replace them with people and habits that nourish your soul.
- Know your top five values. Write them down and use them as a metric for the choices you make. In other words, when faced with a choice, ask yourself, “Does this align with my values?” Asking this question will help you shed excess stress in your life.
- Trust your intuition. Your intuition is the cradle of your creativity. Lean into it and learn to be comfortable with its quirkiness.
- Share your struggles and solutions with your readers. Doing so will build trust with your audience and encourage them to practice creativity in their lives. Solutions are creative; share them generously.
